J. “Keith” Hill, 93, of Quincy, passed away at 5:30 am Monday, August 5, 2024, at Quincy Healthcare & Senior Living in Quincy, IL.

Keith was born September 29, 1930, in Pittsfield, IL to Ingalls Hill and Anetta Hyde. He was married to Imogene Ellis on February 25, 1950, in Quincy. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2011.

Survivors include his children, Pamela Nebe (Gary), Keitha Stark (Oscar), Mark Hill (Jeanne), all of Quincy; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren; and one brother, Roger Hill (Norma) of Wildwood, MO; and four nieces, Jan Hamilton, Gail Schroeder, Monica Salmons, and Carissa Hill.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons, Kent Robert Hill and Ronald E. Hill; one brother, Charles Hill and his wife, Barbara, of Washington, MO.

Keith was a man known not only for his dedication to his family but also for his decades of hard work as a truck driver. His zest for life was evident in his various interests. He enjoyed hunting, reveling in the pursuit of deer, ducks, and geese. Fishing on the Mississippi brought him immense joy, as did playing golf and participating in trap shooting at the North Side and South Side Boat Clubs. Friends could often find him unwinding at his river camp or trying his luck at the Mark Twain Casino. Keith was an unwavering and dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs throughout his life.

A Graveside Service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy. Rev. Tim Woodard will officiate. Following the graveside services, there will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends at the North Side Boat Club.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Side Boat Club Trap League or Blessing Hospice.
