A Graveside Service will be at 3:00 pm Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Quincy Memorial Park in Quincy. Fr. Tom Donovan will officiate.

Juanita was born July 18, 1939, in Chicago, IL to William Bigham and Zelma Opal McCann. On August 14, 1984, Juanita married the love of her life, Frank M. Dutt, in Quincy, IL. Their union was one of mutual respect and deep affection. Frank preceded her in death on April 21, 2001, but the legacy they built together continued to thrive through their family and the memories they shared.

Juanita’s life was enriched by her loving children, Mary Ann Garcia of Quincy, Francisco Jr. Amador (Yollanda) of WI, Wanda Amador of Quincy, Elizabeth Amador (Robert Nunex) of Puerto Rico, Jose William Amador of Puerto Rico, and Victor David Amador (Madilyn) of San Antonio, TX. She was a proud grandmother to fifteen grandchildren, a great-grandmother to fifty great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother to eleven great-great-grandchildren. Juanita also held a special place in her heart for her bonus daughter, Elizabeth Frasier, and her two bonus grandchildren.Juanita was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her four brothers, Carl, Chester, Jerry, and William.

Throughout her life, Juanita embraced the role of homemaker with grace and enthusiasm. She created a warm and welcoming home where all were invited to share in her famous beef stew and Spanish rice. Her love for old country music filled the rooms, and her passion for soap operas provided a daily dose of drama and entertainment.

Juanita’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her home as she took great joy in babysitting jobs, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren. She found peace in nature, often going fishing at the Lock and Dam and taking tranquil walks at Wavering Park. Travel was another of Juanita’s pleasures, with destinations like Puerto Rico, Arkansas, Chicago, The Carolinas, Wisconsin, and Detroit marking the pages of her adventurous life.

Juanita’s presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt.

Memorial contributions may be made to Quanada.
