Kerry Lane – Hansen-Spear
Kerry A. Lane, age 50, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at 9:33 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
Kerry was born on June 8, 1974 in Quincy, a daughter of Leroy J. and Joyce Evon Clemens Sparrow. She married Chris Lane on March 20, 1999 in Quincy. He survives.
Kerry was a 1992 graduate of Quincy High School. Kerry was a devoted homemaker with a deep passion for crafting. She embraced every aspect of the craft world, from knitting and sewing to scrapbooking and painting, always eager to try something new. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she found joy in expressing herself through her handmade creations. Whether crafting for family, friends, or simply for the pleasure of it, Kerry’s work reflected her warmth and attention to detail, leaving behind a legacy of love and artistry that touched the hearts of all who received her creations.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three children: Christopher Lane Jr. of Quincy, Kristofer Johnson of Quincy, and Dakota Johnson of Glendale, AZ; four grandchildren: Pepper Ann, Garron, and Daniel Lane, and Winnie Mae Schullian, all of Quincy; her mother, Joyce Sparrow of Quincy; a sister, Candy (Kevin) Mast of Quincy; her best friend, Jennifer Sill of Quincy; numerous nieces and nephews; her loyal dogs: Gus, Ursela, and Khaleesi; and several cats.
Kerry was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Brent Lee Sparrow.
Graveside Service: 11:15 a.m. on Monday December 30, 2024 at Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, IL
