He is survived by his loving wife Linda, his daughters Laura and Lindsay, his grandchildren Connor, Timothy and Quinn, two son-in-laws Matt and Mike, and younger siblings Russell, Ronald and Donald Summers. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Mary and his younger sister Diana.
In 1984, Louis relocated to Saint Petersburg Florida for a “Summer of fun” but on the first day he met a beautiful red head who would be his future wife. They were together for 40 blissful years. Louis’ hobbies included fishing, hunting, drag racing and since 2001 has never missed a Quincy Blue Devils basketball game. His favorite pastimes were telling stories of his many youthful and mischevious escapades and showing off his billiards and bartending skills to anyone who would watch or listen.
In 1986, Louis added a new name for himself “Dad” with Laura’s birth and then again in 1989 with Lindsay’s birth. It was hard to pick names but he helped create “The L Family”. The proudest name he was ever called though was “Papa”. He was the best grandfather for his grandchildren and gave them lasting memories of watching NASA rockets take off, learning how to fish, ride bikes, taught them life skills and having a blast when he baby sat and so much more.
Louis was Linda’s protective polar bear, a loving husband, father and grandfather. Louis lived a long life and a wild life full of adventures, mischief, laughs and love. He will forever missed by all those who knew and loved him.
