Luca Jameson Reardon — Hansen-Spear

Luca Jameson Reardon, age 10 months, peacefully went to be with Jesus while in his mother’s arms and surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 7, 2024 in St. Louis Children’s Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.

Luca gave his family a beautiful short ten months. His mother truly believes that he was sent to his family to bring light and pure love to them and to everyone he knew.

The pain of losing Luca will never go away but his family has faith that Jesus will carry them through it.

Luca is survived by his mother, April (Gary Thompson) Sprague of Quincy; nine siblings: Alyssa Korte, Natalie (fiancée, Kaden Tournear) Sprague, Landon Sprague, Jr., Jackie Sprague, Liam Thompson, Ameria Thompson, Andon Goodwin, Kailey Goodwin, and Terran Thompson; his maternal grandfather, Randy (Patsy Arnold) Reardon of Herrin, IL; his maternal great-grandmother, Zelma Hall of Quincy; an uncle, Michael (Sarah) Reardon of Springfield, IL; an aunt, Elizabeth (Dylan Button) Reardon of Dacono, CO; a nephew, Moses Edleman; and numerous extended family.

Luca was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judy Reardon and his maternal great-grandparents, Robert Hall and Paul and Frances Reardon.

Luca’s family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who remained by their sides in spirit: family, friends, and even other parents and siblings in the CICU. They deeply appreciate every act of kindness, every message, and every prayer.

Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Graveside Service: 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Sheri Renner officiating.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Quincy, IL
