Marcia Ellen Clevenger, 90, of Quincy, IL, formerly of Camp Point, IL, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home.

Born April 27, 1934, in Quincy, Marcia was the daughter of Omer and Edna Zeiger Kestner. She married Ben D. Clevenger on March 6, 1953, in Clayton, IL. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2010.

Marcia enjoyed working at Royalty’s in Camp Point for over 20 years. She will be remembered for her love of people, life, laughter and music.

Surviving are her children, Renee Benedetto of Quincy, Chris (Michele) Clevenger of Quincy, Cameron Clevenger of Liberty, IL, Shanzelle Clevenger of Quincy, Carmell (Jim) Fitch of Madeira Beach, FL, and Paul (Denise) Clevenger of Quincy; 18 grandchildren, Richelle Anderson, Ryne Lubben, Amanda (Steve) Spilker, Jessica (Matt) Huebner, Erica Dedert, Ethan (Lillie) Clevenger, Tanner (Faith) Clevenger, Cailin (Danielle) Clevenger, Ciera Clevenger, Connor Clevenger, Alex Fitch, Victoria Fitch, Audrea Fitch, Shaelynn (Brandon) Dye, Piper Clevenger, Chance Clevenger, Andrew Buckner, and Logan Brunenn; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Veta Austin of Quincy, and Mary Tenhouse of Quincy; her brother, John (Linda) Kestner of Payson, IL; her brother in law, Jim (Marilyn) Clevenger of Camp Point; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Matthew Dean Clevenger, her daughter, Tamara Dedert, and her brother, Robert Kestner.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2701 College, Quincy, by Rev. Martin Eden. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy.

Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Blessing Foundation for Hospice, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
