Marjorie June Young — Hansen-Spear

Marjorie June Young, age 91, of Quincy, died on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 2:47 a.m. in Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, IA.

June was born on November 29, 1932 in Knox City, MO, a daughter of Willie T. and Blanche Goodwin Parrish. She married Robert L. Young on April 5, 1953 in Grace United Methodist Church in Quincy. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2020.

June was a 1950 graduate of Unity High School in Mendon, IL. She had been employed as a dietician for Chaddock School for many years.

Survivors include: two daughters: Robin Lynn (Donald) Grawe of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Kimberly Ann (Philip) Buss of O’Fallon, MO; five grandchildren: Scott (Michelle) Grawe of Ames, IA; Daniel (J.R.) Grawe of Cedar Rapids, IA; Douglas (Abbey) Grawe of Minneapolis, MN; and Sophia and Elijah Buss, both of O’Fallon, MO; ten great grandchildren: Lydia, Caleb, Julia, Alysa, Leyla, Nolan, Zimo, Wyatt, and Parker Grawe, and Milo Buss; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: there will be no visitation but friends are invited to the funeral

Services: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Chaplain Josh Vahle officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
