Mary Ann Beckett, 92, of Quincy, passed away at 1:51 pm Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Good Samaritan Home in Quincy, IL.

Mary Ann was born June 29, 1932, in Quincy, IL to Leo Henry Siebers and Elsa (Young) Cunningham. She was married to Everett Finley Beckett on March 13, 1953, in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1996.

Survivors include her sons, Keith A. Beckett (Karen) of Quincy, and Scott A. Beckett (Mary Ann) of Hannibal; three grandchildren, Katherine Beckett Suter (Tim) of New Berlin, IL, Brandi Beckett (Corey Cooper) of Hannibal, and Dalton Beckett (Taylor Cook) of Hannibal; two great-grandchildren, Aspen Beckett and Miles Suter.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Mary graduated from Quincy High School in 1952 and then attended Gem City Business School. Mary Ann worked for years in retail at different locations, with her working and managing the Sunbeam Bread Store at 9th and Broadway in Quincy until her retirement in 2003.

She enjoyed raising a family, talking to people, taking trips to Branson, attending school class reunions, and going out to eat with family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation that will be Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the O’Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home in Quincy, IL. A funeral ceremony will directly follow at 11:00 am Thursday, with Chaplain Denise Innlah officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, IL.

Pallbearers will be Jim Garmer, Dalton Beckett, Tim Suter, Tom Arns, Bill Trenter, and Corey Cooper.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blessing Hospice.
