After graduating from Springfield High School in 1960, Nancy embarked on a diverse career path. In her later years, she shared her culinary talents as a cook at the Adam’s County Youth Home. Nancy’s work ethic and dedication to her community were evident in all her endeavors.
Nancy’s zest for life was reflected in her many interests. She was an avid fisherwoman and camper, with Cedar Lakes, Ursa Bottoms, and Turtle Lake among her favorite retreats. Softball was a lifelong passion; she played from childhood into her 50s and coached her daughter’s team. Her artistic side shone through in her hand-painted ceramic statues and stock cars. Nancy’s love for Native American art was showcased in her bar, where she proudly displayed her collection.
Cooking was another of Nancy’s talents, and she was known for her delicious lasagna and potato salad. At home, she could often be found watching HGTV or listening to Old Country music on the radio. Nancy’s adventurous spirit led her to exciting destinations like Las Vegas and Graceland, but it was the time spent with friends and family that she cherished most.
