Patricia Leahy — Hansen-Spear

Patricia Ann Leahy, age 70, of Cedar Falls, IA, and formerly of Jefferson City, MO, died on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:03 a.m. in Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, IA.

Patricia was born on August 7, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of Leland and Dorothy Katke Blick. She married Francis X. “Frank” Leahy II in 1980. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2003.

Patricia was a 1990 graduate of Quincy University. She had been employed as an LPN in Quincy and in Jefferson City, MO. Patricia was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Jefferson City, MO. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Jefferson City.

Patricia enjoyed reading books, traveling, cooking, and being a mother to her five children.

Survivors include five children: Francis X. (Beth) Leahy III Newport, NC, Megan (Eli) Flieth of Waterloo, IA, Erin (Eric) Davis Columbia, MO, Mollie Leahy Mason City, IA, and Sallie (Dillon) Wood Columbia, MO; two grandchildren: Xavier and Zane Leahy; her brother, Robert (Nyla) Blick of Scottsdale, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Sunset Cemetery.
