Regina Blickhan — Hansen-Spear

Regina M. Blickhan, age 95, of Quincy, died on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 3:15 am in Blessing Hospital.
Regina was born November 28, 1929 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Albert J. and Catherine J. Schulte Wavering. She married Donald E. Blickhan on September 1, 1962 in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2018.
She graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School. Regina was employed at Irwin Paper Co. and at J.C. Penny. She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church and in the Ladies of St. Francis. Regina is a former member of the American Business Women’s Club.
She enjoyed attending the weekly breakfasts and lunches with other J.C. Penny retirees.
Survivors include two daughters, Nanet M. Blickhan of Quincy, and Susan M. Aschemann of Quincy; a grandson, Brennan M. Aschemann; a brother, Albert J. (Marilyn) Wavering of Gainesville, VA; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Blickhan of Ursa, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wilfred Bill Wavering, and Robert A. Wavering; two sisters, Mary Kay Brinkman and Rita M. Thomas; three brothers-in-law, E. L. Thomas, Robert Brinkman, and Edward Blickhan; two sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Wavering and Carlene Wavering and a great nephew, David Ringenburg.
Services: 9:30 am prayers on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with a wake service at 6:30 pm.
