Ronda D. Whitaker — Davis Funeral Home
Ronda D. Whitaker, age 60, of rural Lewistown, MO went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 15, 2025 at 1:21 p.m. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
Ronda was born March 9, 1964 in Quincy, IL a daughter of Ronald Leroy and Mary Dean Forquer Farr. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Anthony Lee Whitaker on July 12, 1985 in La Grange, MO. He survives.
Ronda was a member of the First Baptist Church in La Grange, MO. For many years Ronda worked as a paraprofessional at the Lewis County C-1 Schools where she worked with special needs children, but her favorite jobs were wife, mother and NaMa.
Surviving are her husband, Tony; her sons, Douglas (Courtney) Whitaker of La Grange, Geoffrey Whitaker of Monticello; grandsons, William and Kevin Whitaker; mother and father in law, Joe and Linda Cupp of La Grange; mother in law, Linda Whitaker of Ewing, MO; two brothers, Roland (Pam) Farr of La Grange and Robey (Sharon) Farr of Canton, MO; sisters in law, Amber Cope of Hannibal, Brenda (Jason) Wasser of Foristell, MO, Catie Whitaker of Lewistown, MO and Chrissie (Nick) Jacobson of Ewing, MO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter in law, Madi Whitaker and father and mother in law, John and Barb Whitaker.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange, MO with Rev. Elmer Hagood officiating. Burial will be in Wyaconda Church Cemetery in Canton, MO. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange.
The family suggests memorials be made to American Liver Foundation in care of Davis Funeral Home, P.O. Box 146, La Grange, MO.
