Ryan’s educational journey continued as he attended John Wood Community College and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he furthered his knowledge and skills. Professionally, Ryan dedicated himself to the role of pharmacy technician at Walgreens Pharmacy. His meticulous nature and innate desire to help others made him a valued member of the team and a favorite among customers and colleagues alike.

Beyond his academic and professional endeavors, Ryan was a huge sports fan, with golf being his number one passion, whether he was playing or watching it on tv. He was an avid golfer. He made a name for himself on the golf course during his high school years, qualifying for the state competition annually. In July 2020, he achieved a remarkable feat by tying the course record at Westview with an impressive score of 61. With several holes-in-one to his credit, Ryan’s passion for golf was unmistakable. Ryan’s interests extended beyond the green; he enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and immersing himself in the world of podcasts and classic rock. In particular, he never missed an episode of the Pat McAfee Show. His musicality was not limited to the trumpet; he could also play the piano and guitar by ear, showcasing his innate talent and love for music. When it came to sports, it was unheard of for Ryan to miss an Indianapolis Colts football game or a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.
