Shawn D. Willing – Hansen-Spear

Shawn D. Willing, age 51, of Quincy, died on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 7:22 a.m. in her home.

Shawn was born on December 31, 1973, a daughter of David and Carol Brawner Johnson. One March 5, 1999 she married Khristopher Willing in Quincy. He survives.

Shawn was a 1993 graduate of Quincy High School, and she had been employed by Tangerine Bowl for the past 13 years.

She had a deep passion for cooking and enjoyed sharing her favorite recipes with family and friends. Shawn also found joy in tending to her garden and in the summers her yard would be covered in flowers. Shawn was a sports fan, and she followed Nascar closely, with a special admiration for Jeff Gordon. She was also an avid supporter of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Above all, Shawn’s greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Vylla, and their bond was one of her most treasured aspects of life. Her kindness, warmth, and love for her family will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons: Khristopher “Bubba” Willing and Kutter (Phyllis Young) Willing, both of Quincy; her granddaughter, Vylla Young; her mother, Carol Johnson of Quincy; and her sister, Sheri (Dan) Hendrian of Quincy.

Shawn was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

There will be no service.
