Tammy Snider – Hansen-Spear

Tammy Snider, age 62, of Quincy, died on Thursday, May 30 2024 in Blessing Hospital, after a seven year battle with cancer.

Tammy was born on November 29, 1961, the daughter for Ronald “Ron” and Darlene Ellis Snider.

She was a graduate of Quincy High School and attended Beauty School at Vatterott College. Tammy was a long time employee at Walmart, and then after being diagnosed with cancer started working with her family at Ron Snider Auto Sales.

Tammy was a life-long member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved her dogs, Shamrock and Sandy.

Survivors include two brothers, R. Kent (Linda) Snider, and Roger (Robin) Snider, both of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Penny Snider of Quincy; eleven nieces and nephews, DeAnna Pales, Kyle (Ericka) Snider, Josh Snider, Brooke (Adam) Sieb, Shannon Matticks, Angela Middendorf, Rendi (Jesse) Scholten, Rich (Mandy) Riggs, Donna (Randy) Noecker, and Misty and Eric Benner; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; two aunts, Linda Buddemeyer of Palmyra, MO, and Cheri (Charlie Birdsell) Snider of Liberty, IL; an uncle Fred (Mary) Ellis of Lewisburg, TN; and her life-long best friend, Susie.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Randy Snider, and her beloved dog Brody.

Services: 10:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2024 in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Nat Kealen officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
