Tanya C. Rockwell
Tanya C. Rockwell, 46, of Quincy, passed away April 24, 2024, at her home in Quincy, IL.
A Graveside Service will be 10:00 am Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Calvary Cemetery in Quincy, IL. Rev. Tim Woodard will officiate.
Tanya was born June 12, 1977, in Quincy, IL to Jerry and Sharon (Gustafson) Rockwell.
Survivors include her sons, Caleb Harvey of Quincy, IL and Caden Rockwell of Mt Sterling, IL; her niece, Alison Rockwell; her mother, Sharon Rockwell; one brother, Sean Rockwell (Jennifer) of Springfield, IL; and one uncle, Neil Gustafson of St. Louis, MO.
Tanya was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and one aunt, Linda Gustafson.
Tanya’s passion for life was evident in her many interests and hobbies. She found solace in the beauty of nature, often taking leisurely walks to immerse herself in the tranquility of the outdoors. The holiday season held a special place in Tanya’s heart, as it was a time for her to share her love of baking with friends and family. A visit to the St. Louis Zoo was always a highlight for Tanya, as she marveled at the wonders of the animal kingdom. Her love for animals extended beyond the zoo’s gates, as she opened her heart and home to numerous dogs over the years, each becoming a beloved companion.
Tanya’s artistic spirit shone brightly through her intricate bead art and jewelry, which brought beauty into the lives of those around her. Tanya’s adventurous side led her to memorable experiences, including a trip to New Orleans and visits to St. Louis, where she relished the city’s culture and energy. Elder’s was a favored destination where Tanya and her mother shared countless meals and conversations, creating memories that will be held dear.
Tanya’s warmth, creativity, and love for animals will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
