Nebo man arrested for failing to register as a sex offender

On Thursday, May 27 at 1:20 P.M., the Pike County (IL) Sheriff’s Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of East Bridge Street, Nebo.

Following an investigation, Mark T. Westemeyer, 63, of Nebo, was arrested on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. The investigation was conducting via the monitoring of Westemeyer’s social media account.

Westemeyer was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Jail.
