Adams County Sheriff’s deputies arrest felon in possession of firearm

At 5:00 Monday morning, deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at the Timber Ridge Mobile Home Park on the east edge of Quincy on State Street.
Deputies received a call about a possible vehicle theft in progress. Upon arrival, deputies heard a gunshot and began a search near 500 Timber Ridge Lane.
They located Kevin McBride, 26, who claimed someone was trying to steal his car. After further investigation, deputies arrested McBride and he was charged with Possession of a Firearm as a Felon and Possession of a Firearm without a FOID card.
McBride is in the Adams County Jail.
