Baylis woman jailed after meth-related drug paraphernalia found in home

BAYLIS, Ill. — A Baylis woman is in the Pike County Jail after drug paraphernalia was found in her home.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at 8:28 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at a residence in the 200 block of West Fourth. More than 50 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine, methamphetamine-related drug paraphernalia and hypodermic syringes were located and seized.  

Arrested as a result of the search warrant was Laura J. Syrcle, 35, on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes and three Pike County, Ill., warrants.
