The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS:

10/20/2023:

A juvenile from Versailles was on IL 107 at CR815E and swerved to avoid a deer, left the roadway, and struck the embankment. No injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

10/27/2023:

Zachary T. Gallette, El Dorado Springs, Mo., was traveling southbound on IL 99 at 4^th St. in Versailles and was struck by a vehicle operated by Melanie Brunson, Mt. Sterling, who was attempting to turn east. No injuries were reported and damage to the vehicles were over $1500.00.

10/30/2023:

Christopher Henzler, Lewiston struck a deer on US 24. No injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.
