Carthage man arrested for meth possession

CARTHAGE, Ill. — On April 19, at approximately 10:20 PM a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado on Ill. 136 at Main Street in Carthage.
A Hancock County Sheriff’s K-9 was deployed and positively alerted on the vehicle. A search revealed methamphetamine in the vehicle.
The driver, Frank D. Hoewing, 50, of Carthage was placed under arrest for Possession of Less than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine. Hoewing was transported to the Hancock County Jail.
