Dallas City man arrested on drug, alcohol charges
DALLAS CITY, Ill. — A traffic stop at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday led to the arrest of a Dallas City man.
A Hancock County sheriff’s deputy was on patrol in Dallas City when a black 2016 Cadillac passed the deputy’s location traveling 55 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone.
When a traffic stop was conducted, the driver, Keith D. Eggleston, 60, of Dallas City was found to be under the influence of alcohol. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of less than five grams of methamphetamine.
Eggleston was transported to the Hancock County Jail where he was lodged on charges of speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, DUI and possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Eggleston was released on his own recognizance the following day.
