Frankford man sent to Blessing Hospital after two-vehicle crash on Ill. 336

A Frankford, Mo., man was transported to Blessing Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Illinois 336 Friday afternoon.

The Illinois State Police District 20 reports a 2013 black Chevrolet Malibu driven by Grant Scherder, 29, of Frankford, Mo., was southbound on Illinois Route 336, south of 1500 East, when it collided with the rear of a 2001 red Mack Truck-Tractor at 3:13 p.m. Friday. Scherder suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

In the Mack truck were Paul F. Graff, 62; Kay L. Graff, 60; Donald A. Graff, 60; and Rebecca A. Graff, 59, all from Loraine. The driver was not noted in the report.

Scherder was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper use of registration.
