Hannibal man facing drug charges after traffic stop in East Hannibal

EAST HANNIBAL, Ill. — The Pike County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop at 11:45 p.m. March 11 on State Highway 106 near I-72 in East Hannibal on a 1999 Jeep.

After an investigation, the driver, Billy J. Culp, 39, of Hannibal, Mo., was arrested on charges of:

  • Unlawful possession of methamphetamine,
  • Unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes,
  • Unlawful possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle,
  • Operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Culp was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Jail.
