Hannibal man jailed after search warrant executed, methamphetamine found

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal man is in the Marion County Jail after he was arrested Thursday on drug-related charges.

A warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County on Friday charging Alexander D. Sherman, 39, of Hannibal with distribution of a controlled substance with bond set at $25,000.

Sherman was arrested Thursday after detectives assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad and the Special Response Team executed a search warrant in the 100 block of South Locust. A large amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine was located. Sherman also was found to have an active Marion County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
