Hannibal payday loan robbed, suspect escaped

Officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded to a panic alarm at Check n’ Go, 120 Steamboat Bend at 11:30 Thursday morning. When officers arrived, employees said a man had entered the business with a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was wearing a white shirt over a black hooded sweatshirt. The man was seeing leaving the business on foot, but he is believed to have left the area in a vehicle. HPD has been in contact with other Missouri law enforcement agencies who have reported similar events recently.
