Hull man arrested on home invasion, aggravated battery charges in Adams County
BURTON, Ill. — On Nov. 28, deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call for service at a residence in the Burton area. Deputies responded to the scene and investigated the report of a physical battery.
The caller reported Adam E. Terstriep, 35, of Hull, allegedly entered her home without permission and battered her for several hours until she escaped to a neighbor’s house and called 911. Terstriep was arrested for home invasion, aggravated domestic battery strangulation and unlawful restraint.
Terstriep was found at his home, arrested and lodged in the Adams County Jail. Terstriep’s first appearance was on November 29, where bond was set at $60,000. Terstriep posted 10 percent and was ordered to wear a GPS electronic surveillance monitoring device upon his release.
Terstriep has a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 23.
