Hull man faces five counts of aggravated battery, nine counts of domestic battery

HULL, Ill. — A Hull man is facing several charges of battery after his arrest on Sept. 21.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department arrested Kris W. Koeller, 50, and charged him with five counts of aggravated battery, nine counts of domestic battery and one count of endangering the life or health of a child.

The investigation began on or about Sept. 1 when the Pike County Sheriff’s Department received a report of suspected child abuse. An investigation was conducted and forwarded to the Pike County State’s Attorney’s Office for formal review. A warrant was then issued for Koeller’s arrest.

Koeller was arrested and transported to the Pike County Jail. He posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.  The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services assisted with the investigation.
