Kidnapped Quincy woman found in Arkansas

Quincy Police report that Tabitha Campbell of Quincy was found in Marked Tree, Ark., on Wednesday night.  She was evaluated by medical personnel and released, and she is being brought back to Quincy.

Mario Mason, the suspect in Campbell’s kidnapping, has not yet been found.  He was last seen in Marked Tree and in the stolen 2016 white Honda CRV with IL registration CS95996. 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mason can contact the Quincy Police Department or Quincy Regional Crimestoppers with information.

A warrant has been issued for Mason for kidnapping and aggravated domestic battery.

BACKGROUND from July 20:

Quincy Police officers were dispatched to an address on the south side of Quincy at 4 p.m. Monday to meet with family members in reference to a possible kidnapping of Tabitha Campbell, 36, of Quincy. 

The investigation led to a search warrant being conducted at a room at the Welcome Inn, which led to the discovery of evidence as it related to an alleged aggravated domestic battery and kidnapping that occurred on Saturday at the Welcome Inn.

Police suspect Campbell was taken against her will by Mario A. Mason, 39, of Memphis, Tenn. They are believed to be in a stolen 2016 white Honda CRV with IL registration CS95996. 

Information was given to the Memphis (Tenn.) Police Department. Memphis Police located the vehicle at about 1 p.m. Tuesday and attempted to stop it. The vehicle fled from officers, and they ultimately lost sight of it. Campbell has not been seen or heard from since Monday afternoon.
