Nebo man charged with sexual assault of child

NEBO, Ill. — Anthony M. Westemeyer, 33, of Nebo was arrested at his residence on Wednesday afternoon on a Pike County arrest warrant for two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. The Pike County Sheriff’s Department also executed a search warrant at residence, and several items of evidence were collected.
Investigations regarding Westemeyer are ongoing. Further charges are expected. Westemeyer is lodged in the Pike County Jail in lieu of a $380,000 bond.
