Pike County (IL) Sheriff makes two arrests

On July 2 at 12:50 P.M., the Pike County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to County Highway #21 in reference to a possible DUI driver.  The Pike County Sheriff’s Department received multiple calls regarding a possible intoxicated motorist.  

Deputies contacted the suspected DUI driver.  Subsequent to an investigation, Emily L. King, age 32, of Pittsfield, Illinois was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of any amount of drug, endangering the life or health of a child, and improper parking on roadway.  

King was cited and released pending court appearance.  

On July 5, at 8:46 P.M., the Pike County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 106 in Barry, Pike County, Illinois on a black 2006 Mitsubishi truck.  

Subsequent to an investigation, the driver, Annie M. Brand, age 37, of Oak Lawn, Illinois was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine less than five grams, unlawful use of weapon, and loud exhaust.

Brand was transported and lodged in the Pike County Jail.
