Pike County Sheriff’s Department makes pair of weekend drug arrests
PIKE COUNTY, Ill. — The Pike County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the west edge of Hull at 11 a.m. Saturday regarding a jack-knifed truck and trailer as well as a male and female arguing with each other.
Subsequent to an investigation, the driver, Jennifer P. Lundell, 37, of Staples, Minn., and the passenger, Elijah P. Sarbaum, 37, of Motley, Minn., were arrested on charges of unlawful possession with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of cannabis.
Both Lundell and Sarbaum remain lodged in the Pike County Jail. The incident remains under investigation and further charges are likely.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on N. Jackson Street, Pittsfield, at 6:07 p.m. Jan. 14.
Subsequent to an investigation, the driver, Phillip P. Barnes, age 21, of Pittsfield, Illinois was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Barnes was lodged in the Pike County Jail.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Pittsfield Police Department.
