Pleasant Hill man charged with making threat against public official on social media
PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — A Pleasant Hill man is in the Pike County Jail after the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Pleasant Hill Police Department completed a criminal investigation after receiving information about a threat made against a public official via a social media platform.
The investigation started June 14, and at 3:27 p.m. Saturday, July 2, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department arrested Keith E. Wright, 44, on a Pike County, Illinois warrant for threatening a public official.
Wright was arrested without incident. He also was arrested on an Illinois Department of Corrections parole violation warrant.
