Pleasant Hill PD arrests man on outstanding sexual abuse, sex offender warrants

The Pleasant Hill Police Department and the Gibson City Police Department, have arrested Spencer A. Miller, age 22, of Gibson City, Illinois on the following charges:

Pike County, Illinois, Warrant for failure to appear at sentencing for the offenses of criminal sexual abuse and failure to register as a sex offender. 

Pike County, Illinois, Warrant for the original offense of failure to register as a sex offender.  

On December 13, 2021, Pleasant Hill Police Chief Zack Orr, received information regarding the location of Miller, who was wanted on the outstanding Pike County warrants and considered an absconder from the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry.

Orr was able to obtain the location of Miller, with the assistance of Gibson City Police Department, at a residence in the 500 block of South State Street, Gibson City.  Miller jumped through a window and attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.  

Miller was transported to the Pike County Jail where he is lodged on $50,000 bond.
