QHS student faces charges for bathroom assault

QHS

A male, 15-year-old student faces multiple charges in an alleged attack in a girls’ restroom at Quincy High School.

Adams County State’s Attorney Gary Farha said his office filed charges of Criminal Sexual Abuse and Aggravated Battery on May 21 and the suspect will be tried as a juvenile. The charges allege that last week, on May 19, the young man waited in the restroom at QHS and then attacked a fellow student, a 17-year-old female, who suffered injuries before QHS staff responded.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest, but the suspect was not in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
