QPD responds to southside Quincy shooting

At about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, officers from the Quincy Police Department as well as members of the Quincy Fire Department and Adams County Ambulance service were sent to the area of 7th and Jefferson in reference to a report of shots being fired.

Upon arrival officers located a subject suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The subject was transported by ambulance to Blessing Hospital where he was treated and later released. This does not appear to be a random incident and the investigation is ongoing.
