Quincy man charged with first degree assault after allegedly stabbing man in Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Quincy, Ill., man has been charged with first degree assault, first degree burglary and armed criminal action for his role in an incident on Friday, April 28.

A press release from the Hannibal Police Department said Anthony D. Bell, 41, of Quincy, forced his way into a home at approximately 10:56 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Sierra and assaulted another male by stabbing him multiple times. Bell fled the scene, then later turned himself in. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance. 

The Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for Bell on Saturday, April 29.. Bell remains in the Marion County Jail and has no bond.
