Quincy man dies when USPS mail truck rolls over on Herleman Road

QUINCY — A Quincy died Saturday night in a vehicle crash on the south end of the city.

Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded at 6:34 p.m. Saturday to a single vehicle rollover accident involving a United States Postal Service truck on Herleman Road, south of Deer Ridge Road. Upon arrival, they determined that the driver, Brian Vahlkamp, an employee with the Postal Service, died as a result of his injuries. He was driving a 1994 Grumman LLV, a light transport truck model designed as a mail truck for the Postal Service.

Assisting at the scene were Adams County EMS and the Tri-Township Fire Department.
