Richmiller gets 40 years for multiple sex crimes

Tylar Richmiller

QUINCY — Judge Timothy Wessel sentenced a Quincy man to 40 years in prison

An Adams County jury found Tylar N. Richmiller, 27, of Quincy, guilty of two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault (victim under age 13), and four counts of criminal sexual assault in April.

Richmiller received two 10-year sentences for the predatory criminal sexual assaults and four five-year sentences for the criminal sexual assaults with all sentences being served consecutively. He was credited with 322 days served for each of the six counts.

Richmiller could have received up to 150 years.

Richmiller was arrested at his 1617 College home on July 22, 2021 as the result of an investigation by the Quincy Police Department and investigators with the Department of Child and Family Services involving allegations of sexual abuse against a Quincy juvenile.

The investigation continued, and a second possible juvenile victim was located. A second Adams County warrant was issued for multiple counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual assault. Richmiller was arrested Aug. 6, 2021 on the second warrant near his residence with the assistance of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals Task Force.
