Shots fired on Hannibal’s Mark Twain Avenue

Just before 10 a.m. Friday, officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded to report of shots fired in the 300 block of Mark Twain Ave.

One male subject involved in the shooting had fled the area before officers had arrived. Another male who was involved was contacted at the scene.

Approximately fifteen minutes from the time of the initial call, officers went to another location and took the male into custody who had previously  fled along with a firearm.

This was an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to the public. No injuries were reported.
