Traffic stop in Dallas City leads to arrest of man for methamphetamine possession
DALLAS CITY, Ill. — A Dallas City man is in the Hancock County Jail after a Tuesday traffic stop led to an arrest for methamphetamine possession.
A deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department observed a gold 2010 Hyundai commit a traffic violation at the intersection Cherry and Illinois 9 in Dallas City. The driver was identified as Kevin T. Clinkenbeard, 57, who also was found to have a revoked driver’s license. A subsequent search revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine.
Clinkenbeard is charged with driving while license revoked and possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine.
