Traffic stop leads to meth arrest in Dallas City

DALLAS CITY, Ill. — A traffic stop in Dallas City last Wednesday led to a methamphetamine possession arrest.

A deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer with an Iowa registration for a traffic violation at the intersection of 3rd and Elm in Dallas City at 11:35 p.m. 

The driver, Dustin A. Forquer, 46, of New London, Iowa was found to be in possession of cannabis and a glass smoking pipe used to ingest methamphetamine. Forquer was arrested and transported to the Hancock County Jail, where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine and illegal transportation of cannabis.

After a court appearance, Forquer was released on his own recognizance.
