Two arrested in Hannibal weekend shooting
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Marion County has issued arrests warrants for Johnny L. Ricks, 46, and Antone J. Hoskins, 39, both of Hannibal, for their involvement in a shooting in the 1900 block of Market at around 9:15 p.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived at the incident, they located an unoccupied vehicle that had been shot multiple times by an unidentified male, who fled from the scene wearing a dark hoodie. Ricks, the owner of the vehicle, was located near the area and arrested after he was stopped in another vehicle he was a passenger in. Ricks was found to be a convicted felon, and he was in possession of a firearm. He was arrested and later taken to the Marion County Jail.
Hannibal detectives obtained further information Monday and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Chestnut, where Hoskins was known to reside. A firearm was recovered from a vehicle Hoskins had been operating. Hoskins, a convicted felon, was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail.
Ricks was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $25,000 cash bond.
Hoskins was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and tampering with physical evidence in felony prosecution. His bond was set at $25,000 cash bond.
The investigation into this incident continues.
