Two from Louisiana, Mo., facing drug charges after traffic stop in Pleasant Hill

PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — Two people face drug charges after the Pike County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Monday. 

Pike County Sheriff’s Department deputies stopped a 1998 Mazda on S. Main in Pleasant Hill at 7:28 p.m. 

After an investigation, the driver, Lisa M. Dempsey, 50, of Louisiana, Mo., was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes, unlawful possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol (driver) and loud exhaust.

A passenger, Jarred M. Ingram, 36, of Louisiana, Mo., was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes and unlawful possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle. He also was wanted on a warrant in Pike County, Ill., for failure to appear.

Both Dempsey and Ingram are lodged in the Pike County Jail.
