Two jailed and charged with residential burglary of Payson home

PAYSON, Ill. — A Quincy man and a Quincy woman are in the Adams County Jail and charged with residential burglary. 

Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary in progress at a residence in Payson at 7:06 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, deputies found an unoccupied white SUV in the yard of the residence, which contained items from inside the residence. Deputies canvassed the area, and through surveillance footage, they identified the suspects as Jamie Pyatt, 29, of 4628 Willow Creek Bend and William Owsley, 30, of 2730 Chestnut. 

Deputies found and arrested Pyatt and Owsley at 2730 Chestnut at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. They are lodged in the Adams County Jail without bail.
