Warsaw man charged with battery after throwing bench vise at family member

WARSAW, Ill. — Deacon M. Egley of Warsaw was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on Sunday after a domestic disturbance call.

Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies were called to 1775 Main in Warsaw after receiving a domestic disturbance report. Egley had reportedly thrown a bench vise at a family member, causing injury during an altercation. The deputies place Egley, 35, under arrest. He was transported to the Hancock County Jail, where he was lodged to await an initial court appearance.
