While most people look forward to relaxing after work on a Friday, seven Blessing Health System senior leaders traded in their name badges for paintbrushes to help get Bella Ease’s new offices ready for use.

Bella Ease focuses on helping families create lasting change. Through its programs, the non-profit organization empowers and educates students and parents with the skills they need to succeed at home, at school, and at work.

Bella Ease is moving to offices at 709 Broadway.  As part of its long relationship with Teen Reach – one of Bella Ease’s programs – members of Blessing’s construction team have been helping get the roughly 5,000 square foot space for use. Construction specialists have donated more than 160 hours to the project to date.

On Friday, Blessing Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Maureen Kahn, Chief Operating Officer Brian Canfield, Chief Financial Officer Patrick Gerveler, Chief Human Resources Officer Michelle Zech, Chief Technology Officer Lea Ann Eickelschulte; Chief Compliance Officer Pam Stuart, and Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing President/Chief Executive Officer and professor Dr. Brenda Beshears joined the construction team, by painting an office in the complex.

“Blessing has a long relationship with Teen Reach,” Kahn said. “It began in the 1900s when Blessing provided a building on its campus for Teen Reach to use for its after-school program. We’ve partnered with Teen Reach whenever we could, ever since. Blessing Health is pleased to play a role in the growth and success of Bella Ease. Its programs are important to building healthy families and thriving children in Quincy.”

Dennis Williams, Program Director for Bella Ease, says the move to the office complex will locate the organization’s programs under one roof, better coordinating services and creating easier access to services for area residents.

“We’re not going to do this alone. We must have other agencies come in and help us do it. Blessing Hospital was number one, stepping up to the plate and saying, ‘How can we help?’”  Williams said.

The new Bella Ease offices should be open by mid-May.
