Memorial Hospital awarded for excellence in stroke care by American Heart Association

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Memorial Hospital recently received two awards from the American Heart Association as a stroke-designated hospital.

Memorial Hospital received the Silver Plus award for quality stroke care for overall hospitals as well as Rural Stroke Bronze which recognizes rural hospitals. These awards are given to hospitals nationwide that report their measures to the American Heart Association.

The American Heart Association acknowledges Memorial for its continued success in using the Get With the Guidelines program by applying the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes in the community.
