QUINCY — Quincy Medical Group (QMG), in partnership with Cathedral of Worship, is hosting the fourth annual Man Up event from 10 a.m to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at South Park.
Man Up is a dedicated event that empowers men to prioritize their health. The event will offer expert advice and free screenings to help attendees take proactive steps toward a healthier lifestyle. There is no cost.
QMG healthcare providers specializing in sleep disorders, obesity, osteoarthritis and orthopedic sports medicine will be on-site to answer questions. Free lab tests for prostate cancer, high cholesterol and diabetes will be available. Attendees can participate in mental health consultations, EKG heart screenings, blood pressure checks and fitness activities provided by Anytime Fitness.
Men who visit at least four health stations will receive a complimentary meal from Big Bro’s BBQ & Catering. By visiting more stations, participants can earn additional raffle tickets for a new grill and gift baskets.
Participants can try archery with the Mississippi Valley Boy Scouts or challenge friends to Frisbee or ping pong games with prizes. For people seeking spiritual information, the Cathedral of Worship will offer insights into their Victorious Living Program.
For people needing transportation, QMG has partnered with First Baptist Church to provide rides to and from the event. Pick-up and drop-off locations are First Baptist Church (739 N. Eighth) at 9:45 a.m. and Indian Hills (540 Harrison) at 10:30 a.m.
