United Way of Adams County “Leads The Way” with 2024 campaign kick-off on Thursday

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. — United Way of Adams County (UWAC) will officially begin the 2024 “Leading The Way”Campaign on Thursday, Aug. 8, at ONE Special Event Venue located at 600 Hampshire in Quincy. The Kick-Off will unite UWAC partners, board members, sponsors, donors and volunteers to unveil ambitious plans for the upcoming campaign, all centered around leading transformative impact in our community. Campaign leadership for 2024 is dynamic and inspiring with Patrick and Brooke Cook continuing their efforts as exceptional campaign chairpersons. Join UWAC for a lively social hour starting at 5 p.m. leading into an engaging program at 6 p.m. An exclusive video premiere and an introduction of a ground-breaking program to benefit families with young children in Adams County, fostering the growth of their imagination at no cost to them.

The theme of “Leading The Way” shines a spotlight on the indispensable role community collaboration plays in driving transformative change. “We are honored to collaborate with Kunes and Quincy Recycle, two exemplary businesses that embody community spirit and are deeply committed to our mission,” said Jenna Hull, executive director of United Way of Adams County, in a press release. “Their involvement in our fundraising efforts and unwavering support of United Way of Adams County are testaments to their dedication to creating a brighter, more connected community. Together, we are forging a path toward a future where everyone can thrive.”

The generosity of the Adams County community will provide continued support to more than 26 programs offered by 17 United Way of Adams County nonprofit community partners including: Advocacy Network for Children, American Red Cross, Bella Ease, Scouting America MVC, Cheerful Home, Community for Christ, Cornerstone, Girl Scouts, Horizons, Quincy Catholic Charities, Quanada, Quincy Family YMCA, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Salvation Army, Transitions, YoungLife, and YWCA.
